I'm a physicist who has photography as a hobby, as I felt I needed a way to try and be creative. Photography has a rich history in my family and I grew up with it, so it has a certian familiarity.

Unfortunately, it seem that photography has lots and lots of things to be very technical about and so I sometimes feel that I spend more energy doing that than actually taking photographs. I'm a sucker for new technology and will happily chat away about cameras, Photoshop, Lightroom or anything else if you will let me.

Still, I try to shoot when I can and attend Brighton and Hove Camera club meetings (flickr), and occasionally turn up to the Sussex University photosoc, in an effort to better my photography.
