I’ve always considered composure to be the key point in any art. Nicolás’ stream is a key example of powerful composure; he really opened my eyes to a lot of new techniques and frameworks. Not long ago he made one of my all time favourite pictures (the wasp nests) which I instantly fell in love with. It had certain simplicity but you can tell a lot more work went into the details. And this is true for a lot of his pictures. Just seeing everything from a new point of view is so refreshing. This is definitely reflected in his architectural photography too. He knows how to capture a building in a way I would never even consider. Like his Mansard roof photo, this definitely inspired me to take some very new perspectives. This gives him such a unique style, pictures that are so straightforward yet so complete, makes for a wonderful contrast.
