Always had an interest in photography but it never stretched further than taking the usual holiday snaps and special occasions....

Decided to do something about it and went on an evening course armed with my trusty Panasonic compact. The course had a great tutor and we learnt that photography isn't really about techniques and equipment but how far you can push your imagination. Not an easy task, but it makes you focus away from taking shots you've seen a thousand times before towards something a bit more interesting! Flickr can be a bit disheartening in that respect because there's so many good photos of just about every subject from every possible angle :-)

Most of my photos come under creative commons which gives you the freedom to copy, distribute, display, modify etc them providing you credit the author. The only ones that aren't are usually just because they're of friends/family.
