Drag to set position!
When I was 7 or 8, I got my first camera. I guess my parents saw something, or at least got me one of my own. It was a Kodak Handle. A hand cranked instamatic. That is where it started. I have always had a camera.
in 1999, I graduated from a 35mm point and shoot to a Nikon SLR N60. I was scared of it at first. And still used my point and shoot more. Till that broke.... then I had no choice.
I joined a camera club, it was fun, well the trips were. I learned alot. Going out as a group was fun.
But my son came along and it was hard to make it to those once a month meetings. Miss one and you miss alot. So that went to the way side.
Then I got my N80. My camera bag looked so cool with two cameras in there! lol. But I sold the N60.
Then the DSLRS came out. I wanted one soooo bad. So I got my first one, still going Nikon, a D70. So once again I had two cameras. But then 35mm sat... sat.... so I got rid of it.
As my skill grew, I grew frustrated with the D70's limits. I had found great books that gave the settings under the pics. So I would be out in the woods, camerabag , tripod and book. Trial and error.
Time for an upgrade, I got the D80 a year and a half ago. I was in love!
I am known to say my job interferres with my life. Many times on my ride to work I would see the sunrise and wish I was there. No time to " stop and smell the roses" But I am a slave to the grind!!!
The late summer and fall are my favorite time of the year.
I have a wonderful son. He is my world. He has benefited from my hobby, watching sunsets. Going on road trips, running through fields of Lupine!!! It would not hurt for him to get into it . Only time will tell.
I strive to get better and better. A constant critic of my own stuff!!!
Enjoy!!!
