The Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP (Health Education Learning Program) is a program that assigns student teams led by medical students to households in North Miami-Dade county area for a three-year period. The objective is to produce more culturally-competent and socially responsible practitioners equipped to serve the diverse needs of the South Florida community. The program is based at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and the core student team includes medical, social work and nursing students with additional assistance from the Colleges of Law, Education as well as the School of Public Health, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders.
