I had always been in search for a way to express myself until I found out about photography. The more I learn about this art, the more I’m into it. Taking photos not only makes me happy and relaxed but also allows me to show people how I see the world, to be creative, and most of all; it helps me understand myself better. I may not afford many fancy equipments. I may not know much about technical skills. However, I still feel proud of being able to love something that much.

I bumped into her when I started to put part of my life on Flickr. Her photos caught my attention immediately and since that day, I've kept wandering around her photostream whenever I have time. The photos rock and she rocks! :)

We all have days we remember on Flickr. It might be the first time a picture makes it to Explore. Or, as in my case, it was the day when someone whose work I really admired marked my picture as a favourite of theirs. The day was 5 months ago; the picture was of a flower; and the person was Nga Nguyen. I had been following her pictures for a while, in pure admiration of the way she captured the essence of everything she shot. She was - and is - in the A league of photographers on Flickr. And then she favourited one of my pictures! A very special day indeed. Since then, Nga has been a wonderful Flickr friend. Her visits to my photostream have been regular and her comments have always been unique to the picture. I don't think she ever writes 'wow' - or if she does it's because that's exactly how she feels and not because she wants to move on quickly. Please enjoy her pictures - you will learn and be inspired.

A clear drop of water on a green blade of grass attracted me to Nga’s images, full of love for life and clarity rarely seen. Her unique way of placing and recording her subjects, results in superb images that are fresh and interesting. Her flowers and children photos will brighten your day and her masterpiece, in my opinion, is her Grandfather portrait (in a striking black and white) that can stand among the best and won every competition she entered. Just look at 1,000 buddy icons and see which one pops out… this is Nga
