Myself Newton Saha, a freelance photographer based in India (Siliguri/kolkata) specializing in photographing fashion, portrait, people. I also do wildlife, wedding, event, product photography.

I’ve started photography since three years and after my graduation I started working as independent film maker till now. But I find photography is one of my greatest hobbies and I started working as professional also in wedding, event and product. Though we all know that no one are perfect but still I’m learning and a search that finally led me to seek behind the lens of a camera and explore the world with my inner eye.

Traveling with a restless energy on the streets I always look for ‘that perfect moment’, chasing after light and shadow, figure and form, man and nature. Photography for me is a means of self-expression, and a way of discovering new people, places and vistas.

Basically I’m a self taught photographer. I’m constantly honing my skills with a lot of reading and informal education in photography to increase my exposure to more moments, more photos and more creativity.

I have a small production house for my films and all. I have made few documentaries and a short film “THE ILLUSION”. I expect that there will be lot more films from my side in future. With the profession of film making I do professional photography for wedding, event and product only and recently I’ve started a group on Facebook [SILIGURI SHOOTERS CLUB] and my motto is to make a larger group with some active photographers.

Till the date, I was invited to participate in few workshops. I love to do photo-walks and I find which is most important for any photographers to exchanging and sharing knowledge with the trip to a particular place. So all the photographers (amateur/professional) are warmly welcome to join our group.
