Photography has been an artistic expression of mine ever since I was a kid growing up on 1960's suburban Long Island. In the 1980's I enrolled in the New York City based photography school ICP (The International Center of Photography) as founded by Hungarian-American/Life Magazine photographer Cornell Capa and situated at that time in its founding location, the prestigious Willard D. Straight House, an upper East Side mansion built along New York City's distinguished Fifth Avenue Museum Mile, where I had studied the art and science of film photography.

“For me, the subject of the picture is always more important than the picture."

I consider myself a free-spirited hobbyist photographer who goes where inspiration leads.

Many of my photos I capture along my 24-minute walk each day from my apartment to my place of employment, both of which are situated in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens, New York City, and some of my interests focus on: Architecture, Industrial/Urban Landscapes, Before & After Construction Sites, Discarded Street Items/Trash, and last by not in the lease, Self-Portraiture.

Mostly, I prefer my photographs be devoid of any people, instead focusing on the environment and the objects contained within it.

Many times photography can seem like a solitary art form, though in the digital age and especially within Flickr, I have likened it to an interactive team sport. Thanks for stopping by.
