In our albums you will find pictures from our collections and from events we have held in our libraries. Pictures from our collections include over 6500 historical images of Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas.

The latter images are, to the best of our knowledge, in the public domain. You are welcome to use them in any way you like – we would love it if you could say you got them from the Newcastle City Library Photographic Collection, though you are not required to. If you want to use the images for commercial purposes, we can provide you with a high-quality digital image for a fee – just contact us by emailing heritage@newcastle.gov.uk

To order a print of an image please do visit us on Level 6 of the City Library or email us heritage@newcastle.gov.uk. Please note, we aren't able to respond to emails sent via Flickr.
