My interest in photography goes back to my childhood days when I would be fascinated by my grandfather's camera and the black and white pictures he would create out of it!

My photographic journey started when I bought my first camera,a Minolta AF. This was in 1984 when photography meant numerous trips to camera stores to buy film rolls of varying speeds depending on available light - ISO 100/200 for slow,400 for medium or fast ISO 800 film to capture fast moving subjects or low light conditions.Apart from this, one had to buy color and B&W films separately.After all the endless trips one couldn't even see what was captured by the camera until the roll was processed and printed! Digital photography seems like magic to anyone who has clicked with film cameras.Photos can now be shot ,processed, retouched inside the camera,shared on WiFi,instantly

I enjoy clicking anything and everything -Flowers,people,landscape,buildings,nature,animals,portraits,macros etc. I do not like heavily photoshopped pictures.Good photography to me is creating extraordinary pictures of ordinary objects without too much post processing.

While clicking pictures and sharing them makes me happy,I feel inspired when people view,comment or add them as their favorites. Thanks to all the people who have done that :)

Update-14th Feb 2016:

Finally after reading pages and pages of Nikon DSLR/Lens reviews,I decided to buy D5500 instead of the full frame D750 and use the money saved to buy quality lenses.Bought the 35mm 1.8G instead of the kit lens,looking for a good telephoto,wide-angle and a portrait lens.
