I would best describe myself as a country girl at heart. I am happiest in fields and forests, although from time to time I try my hand at urban landscapes and portraits. I grew up under the influence of a photography focused family- my grandfather ran his own photography business during the 1940's-90's. Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, and the Moosehead Lake Region of Maine seemed to be his specialties. He was very adventurous and the story of how he got the "perfect shot" usually ended up with him being chased by various wildlife (the bull moose was always my favorite).

I'd like to think that adventurous spirit was his gift to me. Sadly I realized my love for photography after he passed, but I look forward to learning and exploring the field that he committed his life to.
