About Me:

I enjoy taking street shots and getting out and about for landscape photography but I am up for anything really. My aim is to be at least competent in all genres of shooting.

I do most of processing via Lightroom but I use Photoshop CC quite a bit as well (particularly for sharpening) and occasionally Microsoft ICE (for panoramas).

My Gear:

Nikon D750 & Nikon D5100 for most digital work and a Canon AE-1 Program with a 50mm FD 1.8 for film shooting (or an Olympus OM-2sp with 28-80mm 2.8). I still use an old Nikon D3100 for some portrait work, sometimes latest isn't always greatest.

My primary lenses are the 50mm 1.8D, 35 1.8G DX and the Rokinon 14mm but I also enjoy using the 85mm 1.8G/1.4 AI-S & 50mm 1.8Gs, an older AF 28-80mm 3.3-5.6 G and of course the kit 18-55mm non-VR, 18-55mm VR and a 55-200mm non-VR (girlfriend broke it, lol) which all have often surprised me with their output.

Next purchase will be a moderately wide angle prime (the 20mm 2.8D has caught my eye) or I would like the Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8G to round things out and help with paid assignments.

I also have many 35mm cameras from area thrift stores, my handmade mini pinhole, an Olympus OM-2P with various macro lenses and 50mm prime, a Polaroid 600, a random Fujifilm APS, some old VHS camcorders and of course a few Android devices. Most of which are usuable, some of which are not. Usually do to film being a pain to process or find (ie my Polaroids and 110s).

I really enjoy photography on a lot of levels and while I think focusing your efforts, on both specific gear and specific techniques, gets the best results. I feel strongly you should try anything and everything.
