I have the luxury of being a stay-at-home mom of a 'certain age'. I have a 10 year old son - Little Neet and a fantastic partner - Mr Neet.

Don't ask how but somehow, after many, many years of abstinence I have picked up the needles, opened the sewing box (for pleasure!) and got well and truly suckered into needlework of all kinds. If my hands aren't furiously working away at something, I feel unsettled somehow. Stange.

Anyway........I have just recently laid down the crochet hooks for a while - I am feeling all 'crocheted out with nowhere to go in particular' and I have built up a 'stash', acquired a few straight edge thingys and other snippy bits and bobs and HEY!.......I am a 'quilter'! Actually I am enoying this craft tremendously, I love the 'brain strain' that goes with it, the need to engross oneself completely in the task and, of course, the joy when the project is finished. I am hoping to take part in a few swaps this year, mainly to take me out of my comfort zone and to make me attempt something not in my regimented mind. You can see from my mosaics the type of work that I like. Now I just need to go and organise the home so I can fit the 'sewing room in!!!!

For all the Swap groups I am participating in all I will say is that my dislikes are

dull

whimsical/cutesy/novelty

batiks

I am sorry to say I don't really dig Amy Butler or Heather Bailey!! I am more of a Monaluna type of gal

I have no allergies that I am aware off (just birch pollen at this time of year!, so please don't send me a Birch Tree!)

apart from those above, please feel free to go with whatever pleases you. I'm sure I will appreciate and treasure it.
