I'm a work at home medical transcriptionist mom carrying my camera everywhere I go, driving people nuts by shooting the most idiotic things but Ansel Adams had to start somewhere too huh?

I'm fascinated with rural photography ... still looking for my niche obviously but if I had the guts (and the $$) I'd love to do like Peter Jenkins did in the 1970s and do the Walk Across America. Maybe when I retire, I'll buy myself a retro pink camper and just be a vagabond armed with a battered tripod, a worn pair of hiking boots and my trusty camera. Not sure if my hubby would approve but maybe if I let him drive! :)

I joined Sisters on the Fly (#1509) and bought 2 vintage campers. One is a 67 Shasta LoFlyte done in vintage Girl Scouts but I haven't bonded with the camper so purchased a tiny little 1961 Forester canned ham. This one is named "The Burrow" (yes, I'm a Harry Potter geek) and is a total gut/restoration job. Should be interesting. I plan to do it in a English cottage theme ... warm and cozy and eclectic.

Oh and macro ... definitely macro ... I love macro photography!

I'd love to enroll in UNL for their art photography program but that will have to wait until life allows that endeavor.

It has been wonderful to watch Mary as she develops in her photography! I just know that as she continues to practice and learn (something we all have to do) she will blossom!
