Playing Mayor in the imaginary town inside my head!

In my flickr photostream you’ll find tons of nostalgia that I hope will bring a smile or two.

Smile

I’ve always felt that it’s important to preserve the past and I’ve tried to do just that by becoming an accidental archivist.

Me & Abraham Lincoln

Ninety-nine percent of the photos, artwork and scans have been created or collected by me or by the first lady, (i.e. my wife).

It has taken lots of time to put together this type of archive and as I want everyone to enjoy it, I ask for you not to swipe photos or scans and make them your own. If you want to share my images, make sure the photo links back to flickr or is credited to Neato Coolville. I encourage everyone to do the same as me - snap photos of objects, storefronts, signs etc. that are endangered of being torn down. Dig in flea markets, antique shops, your grandma’s house etc. for old items that you can preserve by scanning and uploading them for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to be neato cool to everyone!

How one person can be both Neato and Cool at the same time can be mind boggling, but Todd consistently pulls it off. One of the prime destinations for vintage and nostalgic goodies is right here in Neato Coolville, and the "Mayor" should be re-elected every year!

Neato not only has a huge amount of memorabilia of all sorts and kinds, but also seems to have plenty of time to scan and photograph it all so we can all enjoy the wonders and pleasures of Fifties thru Eighties (graphic) artistry. Don't miss out on his collection of original photos too, Neato has a great eye!

Wow! What a fantastic collection of photos here. From old playgrounds to abandoned motels, he has managed to capture things and places of yesteryear that I can only hope to see someday. Truly a pleasure!
