Playing Mayor in the imaginary town inside my head!
In my flickr photostream you’ll find tons of nostalgia that I hope will bring a smile or two.
I’ve always felt that it’s important to preserve the past and I’ve tried to do just that by becoming an accidental archivist.
Ninety-nine percent of the photos, artwork and scans have been created or collected by me or by the first lady, (i.e. my wife).
It has taken lots of time to put together this type of archive and as I want everyone to enjoy it, I ask for you not to swipe photos or scans and make them your own. If you want to share my images, make sure the photo links back to flickr or is credited to Neato Coolville. I encourage everyone to do the same as me - snap photos of objects, storefronts, signs etc. that are endangered of being torn down. Dig in flea markets, antique shops, your grandma’s house etc. for old items that you can preserve by scanning and uploading them for everyone to enjoy.

Wow! What a fantastic collection of photos here. From old playgrounds to abandoned motels, he has managed to capture things and places of yesteryear that I can only hope to see someday. Truly a pleasure!
