Neal has a gift: He doesn’t simply “take” images, but creates compelling scenes with his keen sense of observation and skillful artistry. What fascinates me time and time again is the fact that he deeply cares about the people he captures, and that he’s well aware of the privilege they afford him in allowing him to work his magic. Neal creates his own point of view of the world through his passion and careful approach, which distinguishes the true artist from mere photographers. That takes tremendous courage. His astute point of view is also apparent when he comments on others’ streams, and I’m honored to have grown and learnt from my interaction with him. I’ve been witnessing Neal’s rapid growth as an artist but know that the best is yet to come. Neal – thank you for your support and friendship! Let's see... Neal's a great photographer and great Flickr Buddy to have, the comment's I've received from him are always thought out and well detailed, and if theres room for improvement, he's never too shy to point it out. With a creative eye for things, spotting the little things (or even huge things) that usually go unnoticed to the eye as one walks the streets, things that make a shot special and unique, one that really makes me say "Damn, I wished I'd taken that." He has the ability to turn a plain scene into something different, something evocative. A mundane shot, into one thats creative that possesses subtle underlying genius that I so often miss when going on street shots. For those who've yet to visit his stream, I whole-heartedly urge you to explore it, you will not be disappointed ;-)
