I am an emeritus U.S. Geological Survey volcanologist and wildlife enthusiast. I enjoy traveling to wildlife refuges and other points of interest in the Pacific Northwest and abroad. My most recent photographic adventures include trips to South Africa, Costa Rica, and the Galápagos Islands in 2022 and 2023.
