I am an Old Fart, known to be a bit cantankerious (a mild description according to others). I recentally got back into photography using digital. I love the lower cost (lets not factor in the cost of a good digital). I enjoy getting out and talking pictures.
My love of photography has gotten some others started into the art of photography. These newbies are forcing me to look much more critically at my pictures. I must admit they are much better at the artsy-fartsy stuff than I am. I find myself much better at documenting than presentation.
In short I am an old man trying to keep up with the kid-oos.

Let's see. This has to be a love / hate relationship. This is a fantastic and knowledgeable guy. He's a jack of all trades - but this time... master of many. I call myself his prodigy. (His head is swelling...) I am his biggest fan. There was the love... the hate follows. Mr. Elmo pushed and pushed - against my better judgement - me to "borrow" a dslr that he wasn't using. I know it was a bad idea. 2-months, 2 cameras later and a bank account that is $1500 smaller... here I am. A flickr-junkie to the exponent of 10! There is more money to spend too. I now have a borrowed Macro lens from him. That will be my next purchase. Darn him!!! I can't wait to own one. To summarize... NC Elmo is a great guy and a tremendous help to me in my newest craft. I thank him for that. Dslr photography is way too much fun. I am having the time of my life.
