I have been a birder for many years and feel most at peace when I am outside. I became a photographer about four years ago because I wanted to capture the beauty of the birds I saw. Once I started to take pictures I discovered the joy of using a macro lens. I have branched out onto butterflies and insects. I love a close up of a butterfly so detailed that you can see the hairs on their legs.
