If I could make every photo I've taken a perfect photo ... if I took the time to sit down and crop each little fault out of all of them and adjust the post-exposure brightness and contrast in every single frame sun light has ever burned onto the film in my little aluminum machine, then none of the photos I have ever taken would be at all interesting. The odds are that you're going to find things not to like about the pictures in this photostream and more often than not those things were the things I'd intended to capture with that particular picture. There is no mystery to how I make simple ordinary things appear artistic ... it is simply adjustment, calculation, and timing. Most every picture you see on this site is the only one taken of the subject, I don't normally take the time to shoot multiple shots of the same thing, just one. So please enjoy the spontenaeity of what an oilfield working guitar player can find to take pictures of in the barren wasteland of North Dakota. These are simply a record intended to show the world a few of the forgotten things in this world.
