My name is Nate Lawson. I was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming to a couple of artists. My Dad was the design and ceramics instructor at the local college for almost 30 years, and my Mom is currently a junior high art teacher.

I've always enjoyed art and photography, but thought I wanted to pursue a career in Physics and Astronomy. Boy I changed my mind in a hurry! So I joined the military, and after almost 10 years in the U.S. Army, I was medically discharged with a neurological disorder called Essential Tremors. It causes me to have tremors in my hands, which can get pretty bad at times.

However, I won my first digital camera, a Canon Digital Rebel XT, and haven't stopped shooting photos since! I have had to find creative ways to keep steady at times, but that hasn't slowed me down.

Whether it's people, landscapes, or architecture, I try to find creative ways to capture the beauty in the mundane. I specialize in approaching photography from a different perspective, and bring a unique and creative vision to my work.

I not only shoot straight digital, but also experiment with different film techniques. Using old Brownie and plastic toy cameras I strive to create something different and unusual.
