It's fitting that Natalie would be the first person to whom I ever write a testimonial. Let me explain why. My life has changed very much since I first saw her photos about a year or so ago. However, I can look at the things that she has made and they give me this feeling… this physical feeling that wells up in my throat and twists my stomach around. It's hard to identify. Maybe it is an extreme nostalgia for perhaps a life that I did not get to live, a life that I missed out on or grew away from. To me, Natalie's photographs are youth embodied. When I look at them, I feel as if I can see inside her head and I am given the rare chance to escape my own world and fall into hers, to see life through her eyes. It's hard for me to find words to describe what her work means to me, with all its delicate youth and quiet intensity and blind passion. Although I am one of many, Natalie, I want you to know that your work truly makes a difference.

It's hard to explain feelings when I see your pictures (I have problems with expressing in English and my feelings about your work are indescribable), but I'll say you fascinate me. i just don't know what to say. everytime i see your name in my contact uploads i get this little jump of excitement. i can't wait to see what you've done! i have to say, it never ever dissapoints me. your photos are full of magic, thats the only way i can say it. sometimes when i want to describe my idea for a picture to my sister, i use the adjective kucken. i say "i wanna try to something kinda kucken-y, like in an abandoned place or double exposures." so i hope you know you inspire two girls over here in los angeles :) please don't ever stop taking photos, never ever ever.
