My interest in photography began in 1995 when I went on a class camping trip and my mother had given me a disposable camera to use. I had taken some photos of nature and the wilderness, but 70% of the film was used to steal photographs of the boy I had a crush on. I thought I was a great photographer because I loved all the ones I took of him!! hahaha. go figure.

HOWEVER, I didn't take photography seriously until the fall of 2007 when I purchased a DSLR. I'd say it has been the best investment I've made so far. My Canon Rebel not only introduced me to the world of manual exposure, film speed, and depth of field, but also colours, light, and beauty in simple sights.

Although the Rebel is already a very light camera, I found it difficult to take it with me everywhere I went so that forced me to use my iPhone, which then lead me to the discovery of apps apps apps! 2010 really is the year that began to explore and use Photoshop, Lightroom, and other varios programs. It's the year I discovered how to make the photograph my own... I have also recently begun taking photos of my friends' babies just for fun... it's working out so far, but we'll see where this leads.
