Testimonials

Some time ago I came across a photo named "I remember when it was only white" in this collection". I liked it. It was different. And so is all of Mia's (was that Nancy long ago?) work. Experimental, or just mental at times, Mia obviously thinks outside of the box. Refreshing to see. Hvala, hvala puno.

This cute chick is something else- i tell u! She's not the only one to display a very nostalgic, moody content of one's photographical expression, but she is one of the rare few that learned, or knew to combine that content with an amazing form, as well as the art of the written word. That fact is responsible for her work beeing highly transcendent, almost exclusive, in the way that u either run scared, feeling a bit small and unequipped...or simply admire it in your own trembling silence. Her pages display an intuitive might of an ''old'' soul, dwelling between months, seasons, tides and tears...I do love her work and love that personality that can not be, even if we gave it our best shot, separated from the shadows of each and every photo she puts forth us. Her artistic self is a challenge to each of us. This babe she is better than flickr! And if this testimonial sounds cheesy...so be it! : )

Mia's photos have been really inspiring to me, giving me a new perspective on photography. When I first looked through her photostream and saw what a genius she is, I knew that I really had to get to know her, and I'm really glad for open-mindedness towards me, allowing me to get to know her. :- ) Every once in a while I get the pleasure of getting to know someone who inspires me by simply existing. You're one them Mia :- ) Thanks for your motivation. : ) Oh, and she's not only pretty on the outside. Ok, I'm getting all emo here... so I'll stop. :P

In a very short time, Mia has come to feel like a friend "of long ago." With a close look into her lovely photos, one finds the richness of her personal stories, (both complete and unfolding,) being told. And yet they also hold those universal stories within us all, and a starting-point for exploration. When Mia peeks into photos, she so often sees into the heart of what they are speaking. She leaves comments which offer a mixture of understanding, objectivity, empathy, and observation. Mia Dear, it is a pleasure to cross streams with you! Thank you!
