Welcome to my little corner of Flickr. For twenty years now (this year!), I’ve been chasing light and finding beauty in almost anything it touches—that’s what you’ll see reflected here in my eclectic collection of photographs. Along the way I’ve made many friends and been inspired by countless amazing images from fellow creators. I’d love for you to explore, enjoy the view, and feel free to comment or share your thoughts.

Testimonials

"I do not write so many testimonials but here goes number four. "Duncan is one of the most creative minds I have met in a long time, extremely honest with his lenses and so impressive. I is a great pleasure to look at his work, and a honour to “know” him. A great inspiration."" FP

Why it has taken me this long to write a testimonial for Duncan is beyond me. Not only is he one of the best photographers I've come across on Flickr, he is one of the best people I've ever met. He has taken me to several places in his neck of the woods to go shooting and even some places in my neck of the woods. He has an artists soul and always seems to find the scene within a scene. For me, Duncan is the quintessential southern photographer...capturing not only the natural beauty of the South, but the essence of what it means to live here. Thanks for being a guide, a friend and an inspiration.

Without flattery, Duncan reminds me of Elliot Porter, and Ernst Haas. Great photographers of nature, who always had the spotlight on nature and the beauty of the world around us, rather than on techniques, or glitzy showing of the photographer. His shots are really sterling quality, that comes from solid technique, through knowledge, and mostly a real love of the world around him. We can all learn here.

I've known NailBender for a good while. I just found him today on the site. His photography speaks for itself. But, his carpenter skills are amazing. An amazing furniture maker. But, the best thing about the guy is just him. He is also a good person. Glad I found you DMac. T
