I'm a poet, watercolor artist, and amateur photographer living in Southern California, USA. In earlier days I searched for ways to express my creativity through crochetting doilies (taught at age 6 by my grandmother) to clothing construction (taught by my mother) . . . then to jewelry-making, beadwork, and stained glass boxes and kaleidoscopes (sold internationally).

Still, I yearned for an expression that came from within and was not dependent upon materials, on external "stuff" . . . I found my outlet (my voice) in poetry, beginning with haiku and expanding to tanka, haibun, haiga (images set to haiku at first and later to all forms of poetry), sonnets, rhyming and free verse, and sijo (a Korean form). And I found another voice in photography. I have many poems set to my photographic images, but they are not shared here.

There is so much poetry in the visual. Sometimes that's all we need.

I hope those of you who happen upon my images here find a place to relax and linger a bit, and then leave feeling refreshed and renewed.
