I grew up in Derbyshire, went to Liverpool University and lived for many years in London. When I retired, I moved to the Norfolk Broads.

My interests include Scouting, boats, ham radio, meccano, science, astronomy and much more. I like to take photographs but I am not very serious about it. I use a compact camera and no fancy lens.
