We don't talk about this often, but Maya and I were high school sweethearts and married on our 18th birthdays. It was a whirlwind romance defined by mad crazy extremes reserved for people who love too deeply. Sure we had arguments...usually fueled by my obvious (and admittedly petty) jealousy of her pure artist sense and obviously superior eye for all things visual. But thanks to the support of our families, our therapist, Ben & Jerry's, and her hot bi-sexual friend Naomi, we've survived to raise 5 wonderful children and 1 not so wonderful one.
