The MINDS-i's vision results from the belief that the world of competitive robotics can and should do more, and the fervent desire to stimulate young minds and bring that excitement beyond the classroom. MINDS-i is attempting something new with an impressive end goal---"to rock the robotics world"-by spearheading a technology platform that is not only extraordinarily durable but also infinitely modifiable and relevant for the 21st century, breathing new energy and enthusiasm into Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education.

"I've always had a passion for tinkering, inventing and gaming. The leading Robotics, RC Hobby and Construction Systems just couldn't hold my interest with their limited interchangeability, durability, and power. So I invented an entirely new system of robot kits to build that are tough enough to give anyone the freedom to build anything and do anything they desire in any setting. And I designed the system to be the toughest out there to make current robotics limitations a thing of the past."

In 2005, MINDS-i began as the brainchild of Mike Marzetta, an avid hobbyist with a passion for people. Mike's natural eagerness for dynamic new adventures led him to the invention of the most rugged robotics system available today.

Mike and Christy Marzetta had a creative vision and deep desire to make a difference by contributing to others in a meaningful way. They named their company after their mission: creating anything you can envision in your "mind's eye". Then they began searching for people who share their same passion to make the dream a reality.

They found the first addition to the MINDS-i team at the Spokane Community College Mechanical Engineering program. The talented Kriston Broxson joined MINDS-i in 2006. Kriston's life-long friend, Levi Wilson, a graduate from the Spokane Community College Diesel Mechanic program, joined shortly thereafter. The synergy between the vision of MINDS-i and the dreams of these young designer-inventor-engineers is the heart of MINDS-i's future.

Larry Bernstein, former President of Hasbro's Toy Division, quickly saw the potential of MINDS-i as a true paradigm shift. Feeling that MINDS-i offered something previously non-existent in today's marketplace, Larry soon agreed to come on board as CEO and has since led us with his invaluable decades of experience and unique wisdom.

Our most recent addition to the MINDS-i team is Tim Lines, a stand out from the East Valley High School FIRST Robotics Team. Tim is also an avid hobbyist and has a flair for photography, videography and extensive talents in many other areas that are vital to the realization of the MINDS-i dream.

Together, we invite you to dive in and get your hands dirty, because that's what MINDS-i products are created for. In the spirit of true learning, we've developed products that are sophisticated enough to challenge engineers of all skill levels, and built tough enough to be road tested in the real world.
