All my images are set as "All rights reserved" (every Flickr image shows its permissions beneath the image)--but that doesn't mean you can't use them--you just need to get my permission. I am happy to discuss using my images on a per-case basis. Just ask! Please ask, because my cousin is an intellectual property rights attorney. No joke.

Attribution, credit or links back are NOT enough, according to U.S. Copyright Law.

I just don't know how much more clear "All Rights Reserved" can be.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

I've always enjoyed romping around in the woods, looking at bugs and flowers etc., but it wasn't until the summer of '09 that I realized the incredible diversity of mushrooms out there. Once I started to LOOK for them (after a chanterelle bumper-crop, found by a friend, got me curious) I was astonished.

So now I am obsessed with mushrooms. Things could be worse.

I ended up having too much to say about some of the things I found, so I started a blog:

mycologista.blogspot.com/

While I started this account (and the blog) because I went mushroom-crazy, anything else good I find in the natural world will end up here. But I'm always looking for mushrooms.

I don't mess with the color at all in my images; sometimes I edit the exposure a little in Picasa. Aside from that, what you see is what I got, with a hand-held point-and-shoot digital camera.

PLEASE DON'T EAT MUSHROOMS unless you are 100% sure of what they are. Using my dumb Flickr account as ID confirmation is dumb. For mushrooms, there's a lot more to a positive ID than just matching pictures. I'm no expert, believe me.

Corrections and suggestions regarding ID's are welcome and encouraged. And please comment! I love comments.

I hope you enjoy looking at what I find. COMMENTS ARE WELCOME! Please comment!
