About me...

My name is Ea. It is a little unusual, I know, and people sometimes have difficulty with it. It’s pronounced long a short a, A-uh. I live in southern Vermont. I began with photography in August 2016. I had never thought of myself as a creative person before a camera was put in my hands by my partner who just wanted me to have something to do while he was busy shooting. I started and slowly fell in love with creating stories with my camera. I have been growing as an artist and improving my technical skills as I went along. I started shooting events in the last 6 months. I have found theater and performance photography has a dimension where I am working to help further the creative vision of the actors, directors, choreographers, etc. It’s a joy to be part of a community of artists. In my creative work I often use myself as a model. I don’t really see it as me, but a tool just like my camera. I like to tell stories in my art and hope to push myself to improve and further develop my creative voice.
