The Keeper of The Punk Vault. I've been collecting punk rock records since I was about 13 which now is a very long time ago. I also collect pinball machines. I have been writing about music off and on since 1985 and photographing it for a few years now.
Shooting pictures at shows gave me the bug to just take photos in general and I've slowly been exploring shooting other things when the mood strikes. Now if only creativity could strike more often then that would really be something. I'm still learning as I go along. I wish I had some local friends who were more into photography and wanted to go out and shoot photos with me, then I'd be able to learn more or at least get some ideas.
I make video games in my real life. I've been working in that industry in one way or another for the last dozen years. I also sometimes release punk records on my own label (Spontaneous Combustion), I was a record reviewer for Punk Planet but they folded and I also help run Mystic Records, the old CA punk rock label. I've been putting together all the reissue CDs they've been doing and basically doing all the work for the old man because he is old and can't do it all himself.
I now shoot with a Canon EOS 5D. Before that I was using a Canon EOS 350D. Most of them are sans-flash as I truly hate the flash and only use it when necessary. I have found it to be a necessary evil though, and currently have been trying to learn how to use it better.

I've known MXV for half of my damned life, and he's a fine chap! Good to see him out and about taking pictures of the world. Perhaps soon he will come out to Long Beach and take some pictures here?
