I'm a retired landscape designer who's moved after many years in a big Eastern city to a big western city, but really loves the undisturbed wilderness. Photography claims an ever increasing part of my life. It's like meditation to me; when I'm taking photos, I can shut out the world, shut out the internal dialogue and really be in the moment.
I recommend viewing either my stream or any of my sets as a sldeshow. I program them to be experienced in a specific sequence and think they can be better appreciated that way. Besides, you get to see them on black where they always look their best.
I have had many inquiries about purchasing prints of some of my images here on Flickr so I've created a web site devoted to that end. I've gathered some of my favorite images on the site: www.markwillocksphotography.com. Please drop by for a visit when you can.
Please do not use any of my photos here for any reason without express written consent. I'm likely to give it but want to maintain some control.
I greatly appreciate any comments you may leave on any of my photographs - but please do not use my photostream to promote your own photographs. I just don't think of my Flickr space as a marketplace or a free billboard.

If you have just discovered Mark's photostream, do yourself a favor - get yourself comfortable and spend more than a little time delving into this treasure trove of beautiful images. Here you will find clear, clean lines, pure and rich colors, a strong sense of design, and evidence of an intelligent and perceptive mind and eyes. Mark will invite you to look and appreciate detail you may never have noticed before, shadows and reflections, tiny hairs on a leaf, curves in the windblown sand. Throughout, there's a reverence for the natural world, and a special celebration for its abstract forms. I always feel enriched, elevated, and calmed when I view this work. So, congratulations on discovering this photo artist! You will not regret any hours spent visiting here.
