My name's Helen Beaumont, which makes me sound a little bit posh and a little bit French. I'm from the wrong side of the Channel, though - I'm Glaswegian and spend a lot of time telling people this, as my voice and mannerisms often mark me (a little inaccurately) as a bit English. I have medical aspirations, a head full of nonsense and a tendency to procrastinate, and am prone to falling asleep without much notice. I also own too many watches.

In terms of cameras, I'm currently the proud owner of two old Canon film SLRs and a whole load of equipment that was passed on to me by my grandfather, and spend my free time trying to at least look like I know what I'm doing with them. When unable to afford film, I use a Canon 50D.
