Thank you for taking the time to check out my photostream. As you have probably noticed, most of my photography consists of either outdoor/landscape or train/railroad related material. I do endeavor to blend those two mediums together whenever possible, however.

I’ve been taking pictures ever since I was 4, when my mother, tired of me playing with her expensive 35 mm camera, gave me an old pocket camera that used 110 film. Although the quality of the pictures from that camera understandably left a lot to be desired, possessing a camera at such a young age really got me interested in photography and made me aware of how fulfilling it is to be able to capture the world around me.

I’ve made many upgrades to my equipment since that first camera. Among these include a few 35 mm cameras and my first digital camera in 2001. I currently use a Canon Digital Rebel XT (350D) with Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, Canon EF 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM, and Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lenses.

I love to travel, which of course goes really well with the type of photography I enjoy. Let me be a show off here for a little bit and present some statistics/maps related to my travels.

I completed my goal of visiting all of Minnesota's counties on July 26, 2008 when I crossed the Faribault County border.

North Dakota Counties I've Visited:

Once I was closing in on visiting all of Minnesota's counties, I began setting my sights on visiting all of North Dakota's counties.
