Dmitry has been an on and off contact of mine for my whole Flickr life. His pictures range from fantastic landscape pictures, via macros and wonderful portraits of his daughters over to downright experimental shots. He seems to know everything about films and cameras, but also takes an occational shot with his cameraphone! Maybe its the slavic soul meeting the american spirit that creates the melancholy AND casual humor that underline so many of his images? Its a pleasure to view his pictures! Oh, and he has a thing with waitresses who take pictures of him. But thats rather charming.

Easily one of the best photographers in my long list of contacts. Technically he knows what is what, but his aesthetics and colour sense are what I come to his stream for. His stream full of delightful images shot on film using classic cameras. But he is no boy on the burning deck. Thanks to him and people like him, film will continue rule even if lazy souls like us jump on the digital bandwagon.
