David M. Gardner earned his undergraduate degree in music composition and theory from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has studied composition with Dr. W. Kenton Bales and Dr. Z. Randall Stroope. His works range from small choral pieces to larger orchestral works which he publishes through D. M. Gardner Music. His music has enjoyed performances by such ensembles as The William Baker Festival Singers of Kansas City and Atlanta, Grace University Chorale of Omaha, Heartland Harmony of Omaha, the Nebraska Choral Arts Society Masterworks and Children’s Choruses, the Heritage Singers of Minot and the Boston Children’s Chorus. It has been performed at various festivals, competitions, and recitals by musicians and ensembles around the country and was featured on the 2007 NBC "Clash of the Choirs" Challenge website. David’s introspective and moving compositional style continues to appeal to a wide range of audiences and performers. Recently, his interest in combining different styles of popular and classical music has led to collaboration with Hip-hop artists in the Colorado Springs area. David is currently working toward a Master of Science in Music Technology degree at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
