(Français en bas) I am an artist, graphic designer and photographer living in rural Southern Nevada with my husband for the past 41 years. We are about half-way between Las Vegas and Death Valley National Park.

I grew up in Reims, in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France and visited my mother once or twice a year. since 2002 This was a great opportunity for making more photos. My mother passed away in 2020 at the age of 100 but I don't plan to stop traveling.

My eyesight is declining and I am not driving anymore, which severely limits my exploring, but I feel fortunate to still be able to function.

My purpose in photography is to make interesting images above all. I love beautiful scenery as much as the next person, but merely reproducing existing postcards is boring! I love unusual things, urban grit, trees, cloud formations and weather in general.

I see the camera primarily as a tool. If a cool shot happens with my iPhone, it'll be posted here. I am familiar with Photoshop, but to me the best PS work is invisible. ;) I'm not a big fan of flashy HDR visuals .

toucanne aka Muriel is one of the most creative people I know. Her photographs are alive, but her talent goes far beyond the camera. For years she has donated her time and talents to me in my non-profit work. She created one of the best art concepts for our Christmas in April T-Shirt that is still seen today in both Las Vegas and Pahrump. She also created our very popular logo for one of our fundraising events, The Blue Butterfly Coffee House, for the local Not for profit hospice program where I now work. Over the years she has created some of the most enduring concepts in her role as a graphic artist. Like her photography, her paintings are alive with color and image and are true treasures. I am lucky enough to have been gifted two of her paintings and many of her photographs. Two photos that are considered artwork by all who have seen them are pictures of my daughter at 7 years old (she is now 37) and one of my daughter with her daughters also taken 30 years ago. I hope that more and more people get to enjoy the artwork of my friend Muriel, toucanne, and some of them are smart enough to purchase them as both beautiful to display and as investments. She is an artist of note no matter what venue she works in
