I am very pleased to see the photographic work by mur58. Murat is a true, creative artist, very talented. It can give to see its city, the modernity of this one, the glimpse of his friends, its attentive glances about cats. I like the “generosity” apparent in Murats’ line and the manner in which he infuses lyricism while advocating “honesty" in every aspect of his drawn subjects and objects. The application of letterforms in some of the drawings, harken towards a calligraphy that renders form to a form—is a poetic approach indeed; analogo… Read more

The application of letterforms in some of the drawings, harken towards a calligraphy that renders form to a form—is a poetic approach indeed; analogous to concrete poetry!" His archaeology of form is uniquely succint, yet fused with deeper narratives.

Just can say: these are beautiful times when I watch how Murat paints, colors over colors, little by little he reveals his miracle. His calmness shows how professional he is and also how much he loves his work: painting. He teaches me how much I have to be humble while working... U are a great artist....:)"

What happens if you paint with Coca-cola? How about green-tea? Mur58 is the type of artist whose insatiable curiosity seeks him to find out, and I love looking at the results. His work is at once quirky, playful and insighful, yet also inquisitive, explorative and searching. I like the way his hand clearly communicates what his on his mind with a lightness of touch and economy of line which is always refreshing and exciting, and reminds me of Brancusi, Matisse and Boccioni. He is also generous with his time, as seen by his favourites list. Once you recognize his little smiling icon, you start seeing it everywhere, giving encouragment and support wherever he goes, and you feel rather lucky he visited, all the way from Turkey.
