I was trained as a maker and designer in wood by Robert Ingham and Michael Bates at the John Makepeace School for Craftsmen in Wood ( Parnham College ), Dorset, England. For nearly 40 years I have produced furniture and wooden objects to commission and for retail sale. My first solo exhibition was at the Design Centre of Tasmania in 1978, an association which continues to this day. I have conducted teaching sessions at Sturt Workshops, Mittagong, N.S.W. and Australian School of Fine Wood, Dwellingup, W.A. I am currently based at North Forest , Tasmania, Australia, 7330.
