I was "ruined" as a child by the long stay in the "dark room" at home, together with my older brother. (In truth, it was the only bathroom in the house, sometimes commandeered for days by our not-always-patient parents.)

Those were the days when photographs were "glazed" to make them shiny, and for me there was magic in every action: from developing the film, to seeing the print come to life.

For me, photography means first and foremost isolating myself from the world and relaxing; it means capturing moments to consign them to memory; it means photographing things that others do not always see; it means always trying, never giving up.
