I took up mountain biking in 2006 and have never looked back and add to that my passion for photography, it's a perfect match. Riding allows me to go anywhere for the most part and stretch the day out with long rides over awesome terrain and I try to show that in my photos. The bike actually gives a great sense of scale and adds to the perspective of a photo. I love landscapes and the little intricate pieces that make a scene up, I love architectural photos as well but don't pursue those like I used to. This Flickr account is a pictorial of what my life has been since the early 90's at least from behind the camera. I have used a Canon EOS IV which I gave away long ago. I have a Sony Mirrorless α6300 and my iphone, I used to use point and shoots but I kept destroying them, the Sony is a bit of a chunk to carry but that is the price to pay for 24 megapixels and controls galore. The iPhone is only 2 megapixels but does well with a bit of coaching from Photoshop and is actually very good in the 50mm range, very detailed close ups.

Little Update: I now ride with a Sony RX100 VII Compact that I just put in my pocket, has a great case to keep it safe and mostly dust free. This little camera has an aperture range of f2.8 - f11 and is 20.6 megapixels, excellent photos, crisp and sharp especially when blown up. And much lighter than my mirrorless.

Most of the photos in my collection, especially the newer stuff look much better on a 25 inch or bigger screen.
