I was born in New Orleans, LA, and lived there off and on until I was roughly 13 years old, where I finished my teenage years in Long Beach, Mississippi. Long Beach was a great little town to grow up in, and I loved going to the beach with friends. The beach and mountains are such special places, are they not? They are places where your spirit and mind can be find serenity in this hectic world. I now live right outside of Charleston, SC, in a little town called Summerville. Summerville has an "old town", quaint feel to it, and it actually does have a small block-sized historic area. It's a beautiful place to live.

I am married, and have been for 25 years. I know I have the best wife in the world, so don't even argue that point with me! :-) Cecilia is my best friend, confident, and soulmate. I also have one wonderful son, Sean. Sean makes both his mom and me very proud. He is a Citadel graduate. With us live 3 dogs - Patrick, Honey, and Max. You will probably see all of us in pictures on this site at one time or another.

I make my living as a network engineer. I was fortunate enough to travel the world with my work, but now (by choice!) am locked in Summerville. I have been working in computers since 1981, and have done such things as computer operator, mainframe systems programming, unix systems administration, and security. I keep saying to myself "See stupid, if you had just started photography sooner........". Actually, I have had a good career in computers, and can't complain.

I have done photography a couple of times in my life. But being young and impatient years ago, I thought you just pointed and clicked. Well, needless to say, I was done with that soon enough, and put the camera on the shelf. Now that I am older and wiser, I understand that there is more to photography than anyone could learn in several lifetimes. Chasing the perfect picture could be a lifetime pursuit, and you could still never get it. Photography is a challenge, and when one gets good at it, beautiful memories can be passed to those you love, your friends, and strangers you have just met. Photography is both a gift to yourself, and to those around you.
