I initially joined Flickr to get information about a new lens I purchased. Looking around and seeing some of the results from the same lens inspired me to move forward and try my hand at getting some acceptable images. Eventually, I'll be adding other images using other lenses but getting a handle on the Sigma is my starting point.

I love it when people appreciate my work, I like it as much as anyone. But I find it a little disconcerting when I check out someone who has faved an image of mine only to find they have no images to offer. I've recently taken to blocking those who have nothing to share.

I've been around cameras and photography for most of my life. Before retiring I worked with images at my job and images have always been a big part of my being. I appreciate Flickr for what it is and the talent pool that makes up its membership. Sometimes I'm literally blown away by some of the photography and artwork that I see on these pages. There is always something new to learn. Hmm... Just continues to get more interesting.
