Most of my works are created in St. Petersburg, a refined city with changeable weather, which is a perfect place for artists. It was here that my childhood passion for painting and graphics got awoken again in a company of gifted artists. As I continue my studies, I realize that art is hard work, as reality is both obvious and illusive at the same time. That's why for me each work is not just a realistic inventory, but an improvised story that conveys some message and impression told both en plein air and in the studio. I use the whole array of media (oil, watercolor, acrylic paints and pastels), but recently I have come to love oil painting. With each new work I hope to get even better at telling stories of line and color.
