In February 2009 I joined a camera club (West Wickham Photographic Society) I was very lucky to win two awards and this pushed me on, giving me a thirst for taking pictures.

Some of the photos I entered into the competitions I uploaded to flickr. I joined flickr in March 2009.

I started taking pictures seriously in March 2009. The photos taken before that were taken with no knowledge of technical stuff i.e. ISO, f-stops speed etc etc.

For short while I had a Canon 350, and before that a point and shoot.

We went to The Gambia Mar/Apr 2009. This time I did not want to lay in the sun but to take pictures, so I went out almost every day. The camera I now use is the Canon 5D Mk2 and the main lens I use is a Canon 70-200 Telephoto zoom F4L IS lens.
