Leah Lilachead and me (Noodles/Ra-ra/Raw-men/Ramz/…) are flickr friends. Make that flickering friends because we fight half the time (See her latest comment on my post if you want a sample). Here are few reasons why: Leah is a nut… so am I… Leah has colorful language… so do I Leah is a free spirit… so am I… Leah has named me about a million times to date… I have done ditto to her… But for most of the time, I have true admiration for her beautiful creative mind that is ruled by an outstanding heart. Here are some reasons for my admiration: Leah is a redhead with expressive eyes… my eyes are a sorry personification of pitiful pits… Leah finds time for all her friends on flickr despite being a busy mom and a great wife… I hardly find time to say hello to my handful few flickr contacts… Leah knows HDR… I don’t… (What is HDR BTW? Hard done rock-n-roll?) Leah fiddles with light and captures them as if they were her puppies… I huff and puff to capture anything. Leah takes a photo, does stuff to it and the whole cosmos spontaneously assembles to applaud… mine are often applauded out of mercy, pity and courtesy. Leah sells photos… I wonder if anybody will buy mine even if I paid them in advance… Finally, Leah has a heart of gold… Ha ha ha… I would be happy if I had a heart of any kind… Now if you know Leah, you will know all this is true. If not, then I suggest you do the following. Buy a bunch of flowers, a box of chocolate, and few cup-cakes along with a freezer full of ice-cream. Then take’em and stand in line in front of her house on her birthday. That is one day when she is in the best of moods (thanks to Billy) and won’t mind signing an autograph or two. If you are lucky, she will even pose with you for a photo that you may later sell on ebay. Now don’t forget, we are talking about the most talented photographer in the whole Midwest. So you better dress well for that photo!
