Dof and Light is not easy to deal with Reverse technique ..Decided to go for some gear update with Focusing slide rail to deal with Dof and Ring Flash for the light. Also decided to try a new cheap macro technique using macro bellow.
12th May 2011-
Planning to design a microscopic macro rig (DIY-Project) during the summer vacation.I ll mention the blog addres soon which will reveal my upto date progress
27th May 2011-
Just recieved the macro bellow and the ring flash. But unfortunately ring flash doesnt work with non cpu lenses (for the obvious reason its cheap chinese ring flash which is TTL dedicated but works fine with cpu lenses. So decided to do af chipping the macrobellow.Just ordered the chip and waiting to be delivered.Chipping souds interesting...Chip needed to be programmed as well.

This is kind of a surprise..Never thought to buy the microscope this early. I was just on my way to post a parcel to sri lanka ,saw a nice antique looking Cricket bat on display which I couldn't resist to go inside and have a proper look..decided to buy the Bat which was just £5 ...and i was on my way to pay for it and saw a nice looking microscope just by the cashier tagged for £25.Well I was hunting for a microscope in ebay for so long which will suit my micro rig .checked the brand new price of the model and it was around £150 ..After a little bargain she was willing to give both (bat & micrscope) for £25.Halalooya baby.I gatcha ya...So here we go my newest member in my Photography Gear...
11.XPS-13 series microscope with 50x to 1600x
magnification
One more thing...Successfully experimented the Stacking and my first effort can be seen here which was done using 6 photoes.
1st June 2011-
With the new introduce of microscope in to the gear, macro has shifted to micro world and still doing experiments related to photomicrography.Successfully experimented the first microscope based stacking and results can be seen here..
3d model also uploaded to the youtube and its embedded under the description.if some one want to see the .obj file please send me a mail.

Light boxes are really the right stuff for taking photoes of leaves..Light comming through the leaf enhance the details dramatically and u gonna probably run out of time seeing the beauty of different kinds of leaves...you can have a look at my currently fav photo of this kind..if u got a transparent plastic sheet with a square cut out u can keep the leaf flat on the light box surface..I ll probably do it when i get a chance.

and some thing more...Tried panning yesterday and results are cool...have a look
cool isnt it??
5ty June 2011-
Today was all about droplets and dew drops...taking wonderful photoes of droplets is not so difficult...first just go outside and view them by ur eyes...move ur hand up and down and see how ur hand is reflected...if the hand is too big ,try one of ur thumbs...u ll see the logics .....size and directions...then take a flower and start ...why wait...if u want to do at home u just need few plants with bit long leaves ,water sprinkler, few colourful flowers, light source ,camera with proper lense and a forcusing rail with tripod....have a look at this..
th June 2011- ~inserting AF Chip ~
AF chipping is a technique used to gain full functionality of the DSLR cameras while using non cpu lenses. This can be really used full in most of the Cheap Macro techniques where u have to use extension tubes,Macro bellows,Reversing adapters and so on..I was tempted to this to do as I unable to use my ring flash when using reverse technique and after the successful installation of chip i can use reverse technique with following functionalities
1.i-ttl ring flash with non cpu lenses
2.AF confirmation
3.Metering
4.Set Apeture and Focal lenth
Here is the adapter I made for that..It wont be that hard even though words like "programming","Installing chip" all these words sound complicated.Go ahead and do if u got set of old lenses you do not bother to use.
newly aded gadets to my gear
12.Home made light box.
13.Home made AF chipped male-female nikon f mount universal adapter .
