I started blocking anyone who puts more than one "award" in one comment. And I feel tempted to do the same thing to anyone who publicize their photos in the comments. The groups already serve that purpose.

I started taking photos as a way of preserving memories, but as time went by my interest grew and I started to shoot other things, beyond the places I visited.

In 2004 I bought my first DSLR, and my learning curve got steeper. There are several ways of learning photography, and I find the discussion groups very useful. One other way is to get out with some friends just for the sake of shooting and share experiences.

I'm always amazed by the quality and beauty of pictures taken by other Flickr members.
