I'm a full time dad of two young men, who are my life. Back into photography since 2006, using HP 2.1 P&S. Was asked to take pictures for an non profit event since no one else had a camera handy. From there more events.. more pictures, but more importantly, I found the passion to shoot again. Then as my demands grew for other events, that little HP 2.1 just didn't cut it. It was also an excuse to buy something new, and sweet.

Purchased an Olympus Evolt E500 Aug /07.

Had not touched a quality camera since the 80's. Back then a 35 MM Pentax ME was my last camera. As a teenager, I was always the one who had a camera, while my buddies couldn't be bothered. It was always a part of me. Then as life went on.....it wasn't !

These days I have been doing alot of events photography, as a volunteer, and I shoot non profit events. I'm involved with The Canadian Juvenile Diabities, Crime Stoppers, and I also shoot Minor Sports Tournaments. Recently added my services to Heart & Stroke. I came on as a volunteer with the Cancer Society and it just snowballed from there. If anyone has a non profit event they need pictures taken, my services are free. I'm just having a blast doing it. Meeting great people, especially on Flickr.

I'm simply an amateur having fun. I simply capture what is offered. I'm more of a "snapshots of life" kinda guy.

Nothing fancy , but lots of memories, and that all I really need. I do get lucky once in a while, and capture some of what I think, are pretty awesome shots.

Hope you enjoy.

Pete

PS. if you have no intention of commenting, either good ,or bad please don't add me as a contact. You're basically wasting my 17 inch screen with your shots. I have some awesome friends that I would much rather see new uploads from.

Different eyes see different things, different hearts, beat on different strings!!

Pierre

Pete is a newer friend of mine, but his photostream has made a big impact on me. When looking through his photos it becomes obvious that he is a genuine great guy and a devoted father. He volunteers his time and photography skills to so many non-profit organizations and I am sure that they all appreciate his hard work.… Read more

Without doubt as fantastic a photographer as he is a person. Pete's photographs contain beauty, whether it be from the story behind the shot or the subject matter itself.
